Any study approved by a recognized IRB of an institution of higher education may apply to use autismMatch, provided that the research institution and study procedures are located within the autismMatch catchment area. Researchers seeking to access autismMatch must agree to submit documentation from their IRB (including verification that the IRB has an FWA registration number) as requested.
The autismMatch project review committee will convene as needed to review specific projects from researchers. This committee will also verify that appropriate language is included within the consent forms and other associated study materials. autismMatch reserves the right to reject any studies for which there are significant ethical or scientific concerns.
There is no charge to researchers for the use of autismMatch. However, researchers must agree to certain conditions designed to encourage the quick dissemination of research findings.
